Fertility consultations in Vasco
Heartbeats IVF has a fertility clinic in Vasco, at PAI HOSPITAL, Vaddem, Vasco Da Gama, Goa, where you can consult Dr. Mayur Pai, our fertility expert. Treatment is done here in Goa, in our own embryology laboratory and IVF centre, and most of your visits can be planned close to where you live. If you consult at our Vasco clinic, we send a car for you: free car pickup and drop from your home to our location, on consultation days and treatment days alike. At Vasco, we have a State of the art diagnostic facility that can perform all advanced diagnostic work related to your fertility diagnosis. This helps you understand the cause of your infertility, or your repeated IVF failures or your repeated miscarriages as your case may be. Most evaluations can be completed in a single visit that includes your ultrasound and fertility blood work. For couples who do not want to waste time and want to speed up understanding the cause of infertility and go ahead with their fertility treatment as soon as possible, our Vasco location at Pai Hospital offers the best diagnostic tools for the quickest fertility planning.
You can also consult Dr. Mayur Pai at our clinics in Panjim, Margao and Mapusa, whichever is easier for you to reach. Please remember that appointments are compulsory for all locations. For appointments, call reception on 095459 20817, or send a WhatsApp message to 095185 02773 (no phone calls, only messages).
Our own laboratory, in Goa
An egg outside the body is a fragile thing. From the moment it is collected, the egg lives in an incubator held at body temperature, in a controlled gas mixture, in fluid whose acidity is watched. The air supply itself is filtered, to keep out the fumes that ordinary buildings are full of. The embryologist works a few steps from the IVF operating theatre because minutes and degrees both count.
That is a room you build properly and run properly. Ours is our own, here in Goa. Your eggs are not handed to another company. The IVF theatre is ours too, and so the quality control too is our own.
What your treatment in Goa can include
The laboratory
- Egg collection — a short day-care procedure under light anaesthesia, guided by ultrasound. You go home the same day within a few hours.
- IVF and ICSI (Fertilization stage) — eggs and sperm brought together in a dish, or a single sperm injected directly into an egg under a high-powered microscope.
- Embryo culture and transfer — the embryo passed into the womb through a soft, fine tube. No anaesthesia, no cutting.
- Freezing — embryos frozen for a later transfer. This is also how a cycle is kept safe when the ovaries have responded too strongly, which is our standing answer to OHSS. Also newer studies suggest that delayed transferring the embryo (remote embryo transfer) may lead to improved implantation.
The IVF operating theatre
- Micro-TESE — This a special type of treatment that is done for cases with Azoospermia or no sperms in semen sample. Micro TESE helps in searching the testis for sperm under an operating surgical microscope when there is no sperm in the semen (see male infertility). Done in the same session as the ICSI, so whatever is found goes straight to the embryologist to micro inject in to the wife's egg.
- Laparoscopy — is a keyhole surgery performed through two or three small cuts on lower abdomen about half centimeter in length. This advanced surgery helps to observe and treat the fallopian tubes, the ovaries and the outside of the uterus.
- Hysteroscopy — is a type of advanced minimally invasive surgery in which a thin telescope is passed through the cervix (mouth of uterus) to see and treat the inside of the uterus. Nothing is cut anywhere on the skin.
And the everyday part of treatment
Consultation, follicle monitoring, ovulation induction (including for PCOS), IUI, semen analysis and pregnancy care. Most of these visits can be planned close to where you live.
Free car pickup and drop
If you consult at our Vasco, Panjim or Margao clinic, we send a car for you: free car pickup and drop from your home to our location, on consultation days and treatment days alike. Since egg collection is done under light anaesthesia, being driven home is not a courtesy but the sensible way to go.
Who does the procedures
Dr. Mayur Pai — MBBS, MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), IVF and fertility specialist and laparoscopic surgeon, with over fifteen years in practice — does the IUIs, egg collections, the transfers and the surgery himself. That means the person who planned your cycle is the person carrying it out. Three senior gynecologists are on board, so a qualified doctor is available for an emergency or an urgent scan. The laboratory does full IVF including ICSI, and single-use disposables are used throughout for the best hygine. All our IVF needles and embryo transfer catheters are imported and discarded after every use.

Questions people in Vasco ask
Is IVF done here in Goa?
Yes. Egg collection, ICSI, embryo culture, freezing and transfer are all done here in Goa, in our own embryology laboratory and operating theatre. When you call or WhatsApp, reception plans the days with you.
Is anything sent to an outside laboratory?
No. The laboratory is our own, here in Goa, a few steps from our operating theatre, and your eggs and embryos are not handed to another company.
Do I have to travel far for treatment?
No. Every step of your treatment is done here in Goa, and most of your visits can be planned close to where you live. If you consult at our Vasco clinic, we offer free pickup and drop from your home to our location, on consultation days and treatment days alike.
How long does egg collection day take?
The procedure itself is short and done under light anaesthesia, and you go home the same day, but plan for a morning rather than half an hour, since there is preparation before and recovery afterwards. Someone should be with you, and you should not drive yourself home.
What if something needs watching after a procedure?
Your procedure is done in Goa, with a theatre, beds and doctors on call, so an overnight stay, if it is ever needed, is a decision rather than a crisis.
I am travelling to Goa for treatment. Can most of it be arranged around one trip?
Sometimes, but not always, because a cycle is governed by your own body's timing rather than by a calendar. Send your reports on WhatsApp first and we will tell you honestly what would need to happen when, before you book anything.
Your visit is confidential — nothing about you appears on this website or on social media.
